Two ways, one goal: Quick Master runs 100% in your browser — your audio never leaves your device — using loudness normalisation, a tone-shaping EQ and a true-peak limiter. AI Reference Match sends your track and reference over an encrypted connection to our AI server, matches them, then deletes them right after (free: 3 AI masters/day). For a great master you need a good mix first — split and clean stems with the AI Stem Splitter, or start from a clean original with Solmi.

How to master a song online

  1. Pick a mode. Quick Master for an instant in-browser master, or AI Reference Match to sound like a reference track.
  2. Upload your track (MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG or FLAC). For reference match, also upload a professionally-mastered song you want to sound like.
  3. Set loudness & tone (Quick Master): choose a target — Streaming −14 LUFS, Balanced −12 or Loud −9 — and a character (Clean, Warm, Bright or Punchy).
  4. Master & compare. A/B the Before and After, then download a no-watermark WAV or MP3.

Quick Master vs AI Reference Match

Quick Master runs entirely on your device with the Web Audio API. It measures your track’s loudness (LUFS), applies a tone-shaping EQ for the character you pick, raises it to your target loudness, and catches peaks with a true-peak limiter set to −1 dBFS so nothing clips. It’s instant, completely private, and free with no limit.

AI Reference Match uses a real AI matching model (Matchering): it analyses the frequency balance and loudness of your reference and reshapes your track to match it. This is the same idea as eMastered’s reference feature — great when you have a specific commercial sound in mind. It runs on our AI server (your files are processed and deleted right after), free for 3 masters a day.

What loudness should I master to?

Loudness is measured in LUFS. Streaming platforms normalise to around −14 LUFS, so mastering there keeps your track dynamic and avoids being turned down. Go louder (−9 to −12) for club play, beat tags or when you want maximum impact, knowing streaming services may pull it back. Our tool lets you choose, and it always caps true peaks at −1 dBFS to stay clean and distributor-safe.

Get the mix right first

Mastering polishes a good mix — it can’t fix a bad one. If your track is muddy or the vocal is buried, separate and clean the parts with the AI Stem Splitter first, shape tone with the Online Equalizer, or tame peaks with the Audio Compressor. Free, no watermark, in your browser

Unlike LANDR and eMastered — which watermark or charge for the download — every master here is unwatermarked and free, in WAV and MP3. Quick Master never uploads your audio at all; AI Reference Match uploads securely and deletes right after. There’s no account, and no limit on Quick Master.

Frequently asked questions

Is this AI mastering really free?

Yes. Quick Master is unlimited and 100% free in your browser with no watermark. AI Reference Match is free for 3 masters per day. Both let you download WAV and MP3 with no watermark.

Does it add a watermark?

No. Your downloads are clean, full-quality WAV or MP3 with no watermark or audio tag — unlike the free tiers of most AI mastering services.

What is the difference between Quick Master and AI Reference Match?

Quick Master applies loudness normalisation, tone EQ and a limiter instantly in your browser (nothing is uploaded). AI Reference Match uses an AI model to match your track to a reference song you upload, so it takes on that reference’s tonal balance and loudness.

What loudness (LUFS) should I choose?

Use −14 LUFS for streaming (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube), or −9 to −12 for a louder, more aggressive master. True peaks are always limited to −1 dBFS so the file stays clean and passes distributor checks.

Does my audio get uploaded?

In Quick Master, no — everything happens on your device. In AI Reference Match, your track and reference are sent over an encrypted connection to our AI server, processed, and deleted right after; we don’t keep them.

Can AI mastering replace a human mastering engineer?

For streaming singles and demos, AI mastering handles most of what you need — fast and free. For major releases, vinyl or album sequencing, a human engineer will still get you further. This tool is ideal for quick, great-sounding, release-ready masters.

What audio formats can I use and download?

Upload MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, OGG or FLAC. Download your master as a 16-bit WAV or a 320 kbps MP3.

Do I need a reference track?

Only for AI Reference Match. Quick Master needs just your track — pick a loudness and character and go. For reference match, upload any professionally-mastered song whose sound you want to emulate.
