Binaural Beats Generator
Generate binaural beats for focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep. Pick a brainwave preset or dial in your own carrier and beat frequency, then press play. Everything is generated live in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
A binaural beat is created when each ear hears a slightly different pure tone: your brain perceives a third, pulsing “beat” at the difference between them. Lower beats (Delta, Theta) are associated with sleep and deep meditation; Alpha with calm relaxation; Beta and Gamma with focus and alertness. The carrier is the base pitch both tones sit around — a lower carrier (around 100–250 Hz) is the most comfortable. Effects vary from person to person; this is for relaxation and focus, not medical treatment. Everything is generated on your device — nothing is uploaded and there is no signup.
What are binaural beats?
When each ear hears a slightly different pure tone — say 195 Hz on the left and 205 Hz on the right — your brain perceives a third, pulsing “beat” at the difference between them (in this case 10 Hz). That perceived beat is the binaural beat. Because it’s created inside your head from two separate tones, it only works through headphones — on speakers the two tones just mix in the air and the effect disappears.
Brainwave presets
- Delta (2 Hz) — the slowest range, linked with deep, dreamless sleep.
- Theta (6 Hz) — associated with deep meditation, drowsiness and creativity.
- Alpha (10 Hz) — calm, relaxed wakefulness; good for winding down.
- Beta (20 Hz) — alert, focused and active thinking.
- Gamma (40 Hz) — the fastest range, linked with high-level concentration.
How to use it
- Put on headphones — essential for binaural beats to work.
- Pick a preset (or set the beat frequency yourself) for the state you’re after.
- Adjust the carrier if you like — a lower base pitch (around 100–250 Hz) is usually the most comfortable to listen to.
- Set the volume gently and, if you want, a sleep timer so it stops on its own.
What people use binaural beats for
- Focus & study — a steady background to help settle into deep work.
- Relaxation & meditation — lower beat frequencies to unwind.
- Sleep — delta and theta beats with a sleep timer.
- Calm — a simple way to shift your headspace before something stressful.
Note: binaural beats are for relaxation and focus. Experiences vary from person to person and this is not a medical treatment. If you have epilepsy or a hearing condition, check with a doctor first, and never listen while driving.

Frequently asked questions
Do binaural beats need headphones?
Yes — this is essential. Each ear must hear a different tone for your brain to create the beat. On speakers the two tones mix together and the effect is lost.
Which frequency should I choose?
For sleep, try Delta or Theta; for calm, Alpha; for focus and alertness, Beta or Gamma. Start with a preset and adjust the beat frequency to taste.
What is the carrier frequency?
It’s the base pitch both tones sit around. The two ears get the carrier minus and plus half the beat. A lower carrier (about 100–250 Hz) is usually the most comfortable.
Are binaural beats safe?
For most people they’re a harmless relaxation aid. Keep the volume moderate, don’t use them while driving, and if you have epilepsy or a hearing condition, check with a doctor first. This is not a medical treatment.
Does it upload anything?
No. The tones are generated on your device in real time — nothing is recorded or uploaded.
Is it really free?
Completely — no signup, no watermark, no time limit.
